mig was absolutely certain she didn't want a typical wedding dress so i created this nautically inspired punky number. the bodice, back panel and second layer is hand machined lace with ripped chiffon. dipdyed, unhemmed silk chiffon form the main layers of the skirt with a final layer of bamboo silk creating a beautifully floaty dress with a punk edge. i also had the pleasure of lending the adult bridesmaids phannatiq dresses of thier choice and making the younger bridesmaids' dresses which they got to decorate themselves with hand made flowers from print fabric remnants

MIG’S WEDDING, AUGUST 2015

Mig was absolutely certain she didn’t want a typical wedding dress so I created this nautically inspired punky number.

The bodice, back panel and second layer was hand machined lace with ripped chiffon.

Dip-dyed, un-hemmed silk chiffon formed the main layers of the skirt with a final layer of bamboo silk creating a beautifully floaty dress with a punk twist.

I also had the pleasure of lending the adult bridesmaids phannatiq dresses of their choice and making the younger bridesmaids’ dresses which they got to decorate themselves with hand made flowers from print fabric remnants
